Ministerial Internships will now be done through Berean School of Bible, not SC DSOM.
Students who wish to do an internship to complete the academic requirements for credentialing, can do so through Berean School of Bible; part of the Assemblies of God online school, Global University.
Internship is the final part of the academic requirements for each level of ministerial credentialing (Certified, Licensed and Ordained) as prescribed by the General Presbytery of the Assemblies of God. SC DSOM will continue to provide all other academic courses for mistrial credentials for each level.
The total cost for an internship through Berean School of Bible is approximately $138. For more information and to apply for internship visit http://www.globaluniversity.edu or call 1-800-443-1083.

Berean Internship Frequently Asked Questions
How will I know that my application has been accepted?
Notification of acceptance into Berean School of Bible will be emailed within 5 days. Global/Berean will communicate directly to students through email, not through SC DSOM.
How will Berean communicate with me about my Internship class?
Once accepted a new student email account will be created for you. All further emails/communication (like grades and deadlines) will go to the student email, NOT personal email accounts.
How long do I have to complete my Internship?
Internship begins on the date of enrollment (the day you apply and pay). Students have 6 months to complete all Internship requirements and are responsible for keeping track of their assignments and deadlines. Internship extensions can be set up for an additional fee.
Do I need to have a Mentor?
Yes, a qualified Pastor/Mentor is required to mentor you throughout the process and will complete your Internship evaluation form at the end of your Internship. Students meet with their Pastor/Mentor at least once a week for 12 weeks.
In addition to your Student Internship Manual, when you enroll you will receive a copy of the Mentor Internship Manual for your Mentor. Both Manuals will help guide the student and Mentor through the Internship.
Out of ministerial courtesy a suggested $100 should be given to the Pastor/Mentor for his/her professional time and services.
Who should I get to Mentor me through my Internship?
Find a qualified Pastor/Mentor to lead you through the Internship requirements. Mentors should hold at least one credential level higher than student seeking credentials. Example: A Licensed or Ordained minister can mentor a student seeking Certified credentials; but a Certified minister cannot mentor a student seeking Certified credentials.
Can mentoring take place in a group of Internship students?
Yes, one Pastor/Mentor can have one or multiple mentorees under their supervision. Pastor/Mentors can meet with students individually and also in groups.

Internship Final exams can be done online for immediate score results. Paper copies of the final exam are also available through the mail.
How will SC DSOM get my Internship grade from Berean?
Notify Berean by email or phone that you would like to have your final grade sent to SC DSOM. Academic transcripts of Internship grades from Global University should be sent to SC DSOM, attention Sarah Williams. Official paper copies of transcripts are $5.00.
Internship Waivers for Life Experience
DSOM students who believe they may have attained the experience described in the Internship standards may submit their “credit for life experience” request in writing, to the District Executive Secretary-Treasurer, Ed Nelson who shall make a determination in consultation with the General Secretariat.
The Full Exemption Form for Life Experience, gives a clear understanding of all required standards for the Certified, Licensed and Ordained Ministerial Internships.
Should the waiver request NOT be approved, you will need to register for internship through Berean School of Bible.
